Yolanda Clay-Moore Named Comms Manager

Clay-Moore

Yolanda Clay-Moore has been named Communications Manager for Visit Jackson.

Clay-Moore, who received her undergraduate degree from Tougaloo College and her graduate degree from Full Sail University, is no stranger to the organization. She began her public relations career working for the organization from 2011 – 2018 before accepting the Public Relations and Customer Service Manager position with the Jackson Municipal Airport Authority (JMAA).

Clay-Moore began on August 9 and is responsible for copywriting and media relations and serves as the official spokesperson. These duties were formerly the responsibility of the Communications & Destination Development Manager, Kim Lewis, who will now operate as the Destination Development Manager. The changes posture Visit Jackson to meet the growing demands of the organization.

“I am beyond thrilled to be reunited with the organization in this role,” said Clay-Moore. “Moreover, I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of an organization that has evolved into three brands to give a voice to all the wonderful stories that only happened in Jackson, Mississippi, but impacted the world!”

Clay-Moore has a strong foundation in the Jackson product, coupled with media relations experience, once hosting 22 international journalists who covered the grand opening of the Museum of Mississippi History and the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum. She has also won numerous awards for successful campaigns, most recently receiving the Airports Council International-North America’s Brand Identity Award for JMAA.
Visit Jackson is the umbrella for the City with Soul and My City brands.
