MWB Wins 19 ADDY Awards After Unprecedented 2020

MWB (Maris, West and Baker), a creative company and Visit Jackson’s agency-of-record, figuratively “cleaned up” at the 2020 American Advertising Awards presented by AAF Jackson with client work for Visit Jackson garnering the lion’s share of the honors. 

The company took home 19 “Addy” Awards — four gold, nine silver, two Best of Show, and the Mosaic Award. 

MWB won Best of Show Overall for the Discover JXN campaign, Best of Show Digital for the City with Soul Strong video, and the Mosaic Award for JXN Free Locals campaign, all work for Visit Jackson. You can view these campaigns at MWB.com

Marc Leffler, MWB Partner/Creative Director, won Addys for Creative Director of the Year and Copywriter of the Year. Melanie Appel, MWB Graphic Designer, won her first Addy as Graphic Designer of the Year. 

As part of Mississippi’s tourism recovery efforts following the COVID-19 pandemic, MWB produced destination marketing campaigns for Mississippi tourism and local destination marketing organizations (DMOs) around the state, demonstrating how Mississippi locales and attractions safely reopened. In addition to Visit Jackson, partner client winners included Visit Mississippi, Visit Grenada, and a campaign for the Mississippi Lottery Corporation.
