Guide to the MS Blues Marathon in JXN

This year’s race – on November 13, beginning at the Mississippi State Capitol – offers a variety of distances including the 13.1 mile double-loop “full,” a half marathon and quarter note race, to name a few. File image pre-COVID: MS Blues Marathon

With live music before, after and throughout the course, the Mississippi Blues Marathon, Half Marathon, 10k and 5k – this weekend – brings runners from across the country (and world) to Jackson (register here).

The weekend of events will start and finish from the race’s new home at the Mississippi State Capitol Complex.

Beyond the race itself, Jackson offers a slate of experiences participants will want to come early for – and stay long after the finish line has come down.

Shop and dine in Fondren or LeFleur East

A few miles away from race grounds, our city’s neighborhoods provide a different look and feel than downtown with chef-driven restaurants and boutique shopping.

Congratulations, finishers! (File photo from a previous year’s race)
