Celebrate the spirit of Halloween in the City With Soul with these themed events between Thursday, October 27 and Saturday October 30 (door-to-door trick-or-treaters will celebrate on Sunday, October 31).

For the Family

Barks, Boos & Brews and Pet Parade benefiting CARA Chipper & Coco – Thursday 5:30 pm

Bring our four-legged friends to The District for a fundraiser for Community Animal and Rescue Adoption. There will be a Halloween pet parade & costume contest as well as a jazz band on the District Green. Cathead Vodka will be set up and will be serving a specialty drink.

Park After Dark MS Children’s Museum & MS Museum of Natural Science – Friday 5:30 pm

On this spooky night, the Children’s Museum and Science Museum join up to host this fun and family-friendly event, where you can enjoy both award-winning museums for only $10! Create creepy-crawly arts and crafts and trick-or-treat for one low price. Both members and non-members are required to purchase tickets.

Trick or Treat – Two Mississippi Museums – Saturday 10 am

Trick or Treat at the Two Mississippi Museums while you discover mysteries from Mississippi’s past. There will be a scavenger hunt and craft stations throughout the building for spirited holiday fun. Children are invited to participate in the “Two Mississippi Museums Monster March” Halloween costume parade at 11 am. Admission to the museums is free during the event. Face masks and social distancing guidelines are required.

HallowTEEN – Mississippi Museum of Art – Saturday 2 pm

Teens: join the Museum in The Art Garden for an afternoon of crafts, trivia, a “spooky” gallery talk, trick-or-treating and door prizes. HallowTEEN will incorporate activities inspired by the Mississippi Invitational and the Museum’s permanent collection exhibition, New Symphony of Time. Costumes encouraged. Due to COVID-19, registration is required and space is limited. This will be an in-person, socially-distanced event and masks are required. This event is presented by the MMA Teen Council.

Halloween Kids Movie NightCultivation Food Hall – Saturday 6 pm

Bring your kids for a special showing of “Hotel Transylvania” at 6 pm in the Living Room. This is the perfect night to enjoy dinner, specialty themed cocktail for the parents, dessert & a movie with the family. Costumes are encouraged.

I Spy Halloween with CUs of MS – Jackson Zoo – Sunday Noon

Family friendly, COVID-conscious Halloween sponsored by the MS credit unions. Complete the JZKeepers Scavenger Hunt, Labyrinth and Haunted Cavern for Trick-or-Treat Row of candy. Sponsored by CenturyFirst FCU, CommFirst FCU, Eagle Express FCU, Jackson Area FCU, Keesler FCU, Members Exchange, Rivertrust FCU, and Statewide FCU. Admission for 13 and up: $8; ages 2-12 $5, under 2 free.

For the Grown Ups

Scaryoke Halloween Karaoke Party – Old Capitol Inn – Thursday 6 pm

With specialty drinks and a costume contest, one of the best views in downtown Jackson will come with a chance to sing your heart out. There may be a prize for best dressed – or best rendition of “Total Eclipse of the Heart”!

Scary Hours: A Halloween Party – The Flamingo – Friday 6 pm

Party with The Flamingo for Halloween weekend. Costumes are encouraged, but not required. 21+ to enter.
Masks while in motion. No cover charge.

Nightmare on Mill Street – Ecoshed – Friday & Saturday 7 pm

Ecoshed presents an immersive Halloween party & experience. Tickets include a rapturous entrance, full nights of live music, bewitching encounters and haunting photo ops. There will be a costume contest each night. Masks are required (yes, those kinds of masks). Vaccination is highly encouraged but not required for entry. The JXN Flea October Spooky Flea – Ecoshed – Saturday 11 am

The coolest market in Jackson meets one of the dopest new spaces in Jackson, Halloween style. Bring friends and family, including the pet kids, and support local small businesses and vendors. Masks are required.

Halloween Bash with Cypress & DJ URI – Martin’s Downtown – Saturday 9 pm

Doors open at 9 pm with a costume contest and prizes for first, second and third place.
